I fear I was deterred from making approach to Australasian authorities, owing to my not wishing to pre judice chance of a favourable Australian reply to request which we decided to make at about that time for assistance in connection with the emergency here. The matter can, of course, be raised with the Australian authorities at any other time which seems propitious. I am sorry I failed to report the above.
